Language is what I love. With a history of extensive, multilingual grammar study; training in writing and translation; ivory tower research experience; and a background in language teaching, I am an extremely versatile and culturally sensitive editor and document consultant from the USA. I’m just as comfortable editing theses, dissertations, research funding reports, and academic journal articles, as personal statements, web copy, and important emails.
I earned my M.A. at Penn State and have been providing freelance copyediting services since 2011. As a former language teacher, furthermore, I can provide easy-to-understand writing feedback for clients of any language background. I’ve lived overseas in South America, China, and Germany and have worked extensively with ESL writers. Previous clients hail from China, Colombia, India, Portugal, Poland, South Korea, and various other countries.
I believe that great communication skills are central to empowerment and am genuinely excited to help you express yourself more effectively. Hence, my goal in our work together is not just that your paper reach its best possible version — but that you gain skills and insights you need to become a better, more confident writer yourself!
